Tell us about yourself! -How long have you worked at Kitestring? -What is your position?
I have been working at Kitestring as a Software Developer for more than 3 years.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going on hikes, traveling, and playing board games.

Tell us how you started down your career path. -Were you influenced by anyone?
I took a programming course when I was in school, and I really enjoyed doing it. Since then, I continued learning different languages and building small projects. I did a bit of research before choosing this career while I was in college, and it seemed to be interesting and had great long-term prospects for career growth. So, it fits well with my personal and professional goals.

What are some of your favorite things about living and working in Northwest Arkansas?
I love the weather here and all the amazing views, especially during the fall. There is no crazy traffic like in big cities, and so much outdoor stuff to do.

Tell us about one of your proudest achievements while working at Kitestring.
When I joined Walmart, my first task was to migrate the application I was working on, to a different cloud platform. My teammate Luis and I worked on this migration and successfully released a new version which reduced latency and improved the performance of the app.

What are some future goals that you have? -Personal or Professional
My long-term goals involve growing where I can continue to learn and contribute as much value as possible to the work I do. I would love to learn new emerging technologies and programming languages. Personally, I would like to become more mindful and fit, and learn photography!

What keeps you motivated?
I’ve always liked math and programming. I get motivated by solving complex technical problems. I don’t have a personal reason, it’s just what I’m excited about doing.

If you could meet anyone (fictional, dead, or alive), who would it be?
My Grandpa

What are three things you are grateful for?
There are too many things to be grateful for. My top 3 would be having a twin sister, a loving family, and a close group of friends.

If you could talk to your younger self, what would you say?
Live in the present and enjoy every moment. It will all work out in the end.
